Nutrients are substances in food that provide energy and material for cell development, growth, and repair.

The food pyramid shows how much of each food group you should eat on a daily basis. Foods are divided into groups based on the type of nutrient in the food.
There are 6 classes of nutrients:

Protein

Fats

Vitamins

Minerals

Water
